Objective:
Verify proper assembly of package by detecting multiple flap positions.
Solution:In this horizontal cartoning application, the vision sensor detects if major and minor flaps are in proper position on the package using several Edge Position tools. The three red-outlined boxes are the reference points to show the areas to be inspected. This allows for inspection of both leading and trailing minors. If anything is detected in these areas, it is considered a reject. Boolean logic used for output.
Pass: Proper flap seal
Fail: Trailing minor flap detection
