Verify presence/absence and orientation of pins on connector.
Objective:
Verify the presence and orientation of the pins on an electronic connector.
Solution:The Edge Position tool was used to locate the edge of the part while the Contour Match tool was used to determine presence or absence pins. Output 1 can be configured to send an output pulse when the vision sensor verifies that all of the pins are in the correct alignment. The Position locator is outlined in green indicating that the tool has found the edge it is looking for and the Contour Match Control is outlined in green signifying good inspection or red signifying failed inspection. Output 2 can be configured to activate when a failed part is inspected.
Pass: Position tool found correct edge AND pins in correct alignment and present
Fail: Position tool found correct edge AND pins not in correct alignment
