RFID for Access Control

RFID for Access ControlBalluff provides several industrial RFID systems as well as custom built solutions that can be used to provide access control for the manufacturing and process industries. These RFID solutions include systems that can be used to identify operators and maintenance personnel for enabling or locking out equipment or machinery that not only act as a key but also indentify the individual and clearance level to control systems. RFID systems are also available that identify process equipment such as piping and connectors to verify they are being connected in the correct sequence and by proper connection point to provide a reliable means of preventing mixing of the wrong contents or improper connections for a given process. With the most communication options available for flexible and easy integration and the most reader head/tag flexibility vs. range and mounting positions, Balluff’s BIS systems make it easy to integrate RFID into any of today’s manufacturing or process control systems.
