RFID for Closed Loop Logistics
In today’s modern manufacturing, visibility of parts and products moving through the process from receiving to outbound shipping are critical to keeping everything running efficiently, responsively, and cost effectively.
Balluff’s industrial RFID solutions provide many ways to track and trace these parts and products using choke points throughout the manufacturing process to provide maximum visibility. The information gathered can be tracked and traced to provide the feedback necessary for control and logistics systems to keep things moving.
BIS RFID can be applied to skids, totes, and part bins to identify them as assets and their contents and provide feedback through each stage. Providing maximum visibility, tracking, and traceability when mounted to these assets, RFID can be used for WIP (work in progress), interplant material handling and storage and retrieval systems.
Start your selection here:
Step 1: How are you trying to track?
- On bins and totes
- Robust, flexible, environmentally rugged - BIS C
- Lower cost, low memory capacity, read-only options - BIS L
- Long range, ISO compliant, high speed - BIS M
On pallets
- Robust, flexible, environmentally rugged - BIS C
- Lower cost, low memory capacity, read-only options - BIS L
- Long range, ISO compliant, high speed - BIS M
Step 2: Select your data carrier (using links from tables below) Step 3: Select read/write heads (using links below each chart) Step 4: Select processors (using links below each chart)
